Manage and supervise the hotel security team. This includes hiring, training and scheduling security personnel, as well as evaluating their performance and ensuring that established security standards are met.

Coordinate and supervise the daily operations of the security department. This involves conducting security rounds, inspecting facilities, monitoring security systems and conducting internal investigations in the event of security incidents.

Collaborate with external emergency services, such as the police or fire department, to ensure an appropriate response.

Work closely with other hotel departments, such as operations, human resources and administration, to ensure the integration of security in all areas. Participates in meetings and collaborates in the implementation of security measures in the different hotel operations.

Identify and assess potential risks in hotels, both internal and external. This involves performing risk analysis and vulnerability assessments to implement appropriate security measures and minimize any potential threats.

Develop contingency plans and crisis management protocols to address unforeseen situations, such as natural disasters, security incidents or mass medical emergencies. These plans ensure an efficient and coordinated response in emergency situations.

In the event that the hotel organizes special events, the security director is responsible for coordinating and supervising security during such events. This may include corporate events, conferences, weddings or other important events where additional focus on security is required.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, such as the police or emergency services. This involves working closely with them on security issues, sharing relevant information and coordinating efforts when necessary.

Train and raise awareness among hotel personnel on safety practices, emergency protocols and preventive measures. This ensures that all team members are prepared and updated on safety issues, fostering a culture of safety in the hotels.
